'10 JK build (flame away)

Thanks, I'm probably going to run 43 TSL/SXs, 110" wheel base and 22-23" belly height. Kinda dumb having two rigs but I don't want to beat the k5 all to hell and the jeep fits in tight spots a lot better.

I don't blame you at all.

Bought a super duty Dana 60 for the front of the jeep this past weekend. Pretty excited about starting this build when I finish the k5. Actually I'm really excited about this one p, who knows if I do it right I might get it in a magazine.

Yeah a king pin from a GM d60 literally will fit in the Superduty Inner C. This one actually has the 256 designation meaning it's got the Super 60 gear set. But I will be regearing it to 5.38, adding grizzley locker, Ford factory 1550 shafts, warn lock outs and converting it to 8 on 6.5 bolt pattern. Still got my eye open for a screaming deal on a wide 14 bolt for the rear.

Careful what you wish for - magazine features are a PITA. It goes like this. You meet someone who represents or is stockpiling pictures for potential future features. You clean your rig up, fix any issues, meet up with the photographer (this usually takes twice because they are hella busy as you'll see in a bit here), clean your rig again, do the shoot then you wait. The call comes back "great shots, but we're doing a suspension issue, reshoot it" so you reboot and do it again (6 months later). Pictures taken, another Saturday used. Call comes back "we decided we needed to get more manufacturer shots".... reboot, again... they take pictures of your shocks. Great, have you ever had to clean a coil over that's been used for a year? oh let me tell you, it's not fun. Then the call comes, they didn't have room for it and they'll put it in reader's rides. Awesome, best of all is they use the first picture you emailed them (which means they don't have to pay the photographer).... sigh. Best part is the photographer owns the pictures so you can't share them... I like our local photographers, and I'll do it again simply because of that - but in the end of the day, trust me when I say, it's a PITA.

anyone curious why I'm such a donkey to magazine editors... yeah, I have reason.

If it could all lineup right I wouldn't mind. It's definitely different than your average JK bolt on everything. But you're right, I'm good on dragging it all out.

Haven’t updated what all I’ve gotten done so huge picture dump on this one too. Y’all know how much it sucks paying for materials and parts for two rigs?
