10bolt or 44 that is the question

can any one help I have a frankenstien s10 with k5 runnig gear need to know what front axle I have it has 10 bolts on cover g01-885410/41.10 on gear only numberI can get off long axle tube is awg9294 md#is n458856 other # stamped is gm3 is it a 44 or a 10 bolt

is the diff cover round (10 bolt), or more rectangle? D44

its not perficley round thats whats throwing me off Ihave looked at them on line it looks like a 44 but not stamped with d 44 anywere

the 10 bolt in the axle id guide looks a little more round than it really is.

I figured everyone in the free world has a digi cam, or a camera phone lol. Can you snap a pic of the diff cover and post it?

does it have two parallel sides, the left and right side should be straight up and down if its a dana 44, 10 bolts are kinda oblong

Do you see two little square "nubs" sticking out of the housing at 4:00 & 8:00? If so, it's a 10-bolt. If not, D44.
