How can you tell if you have the thick ring gear for the 4.10 carrier, or the standard thickness for the 4.56 carrier? Does anyone have a quick measurement? I'm trying to identify. Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks for the suggestion. I found a pic of cases, but not of thick vs. thin ring gear. To clarify, I have a ring gear that the guy I got it from said was a thick gear, but I don't have any way to verify other than to try to install it. I was hoping for a quick height/thickness measurment so that I would know if it was truly thick before I tear everything apart. The markings do not help. It is a 4.56 ring and pinion.

a regular ring gear is just over an inch thick. a thick gear is around 2" thick.
