So im in the process of installing the axle shafts on my 14 bolt. 1 hole on the hub is stripped can't get a bolt to thread at all, bolt almost pushes all the way to bottom. Also while torqueing the rest of the books to the 115 ft/lbs i saw on the 14 bolt bible, I noticed a couple other bolts feeling like they were starting to strip. How screwed am I?

Hard to gauge what's happening to the bolts that "feel like they're starting to strip". Pull them back out and see how they look maybe?

Fix the threads in the stripped one with a Helicoil or your favorite similar product.

Well they started getting tight they never did and almost felt they were getting easier to turn. I think i was able to get 4 bolts to torque down.

Take them back out and check the threads, you have one that sounds damaged for sure and more that sound suspect.

If you only have four good ones, you'll definitely thank yourself now for fixing it.

Would be safe to drive it about 5 miles back to my house driving surface roads? The other side tightened up just fine.

Worst case, undo both sides, duct-tape a rag into the hub and drive home in front wheel-drive. But I'd say you can get home as is, especially if you don't go crazy with the skinny pedal.

That said, if half the holes are hosed, I'd get the thing home, get it up on stands and just replace the hub with a better one from the junkyard.

Tap all the holes out to the next size larger in metric. No sense in wasting the hub if you can tap them.

Imo, those hubs are a dime a dozen - get a junk yard replacement.
