14 FF to 6 lug?

I don't know - ever see wheel studs snap when the lugs were tightened correctly? If it was just about torque, you would think guys with 150:1 crawl ratio would snap them every time. The load is all carried by the friction between the wheel and the WMS. As long as the studs hold, they see only tension. I would worry more about lug count with heavy loads - like pulling a gooseneck. I've never snapped the little 7/16's lugs on my front hubs, so I don't even worry about the 9/16's ones on the 6-lug rear axle. I assume the 6-lug FF could be set up the same way - with 9/16's studs. You could even go to a high-$$ ARP wheel stud if that's a concern.

To the OP, you might want to reconsider which option is actually the cheapest and easiest. To go 8-lug all the way around it's just a few hundred $$ for 15" 8-lug wheels and sourcing the front 8-lug components from a junkyard. Prices and availability vary in different regions but I bought a complete set of 8-lug outers (junkyard literally cut the knuckles off with a torch and handed me the wheel assembly and shafts all together) for $50 or buy a complete front axle for $100-$200 dollars.

In comparison you can spend $400 buying the 6-lug hubs listed above, pay a machine shop to turn down the axle flanges, and then figure out what to do with brakes to make them work. The other thing that worries me about the 6-lug hubs is it states it narrows the axle by 2.25", with the axle already 3" narrower than the front.

Regarding the comment about only having 6-lugs vs. 8-lugs, that would be the last thing I would worry about in this swap. Pretty rare that you see an 6-lug setup fail assuming the lugs were installed and torqued properly. The only time I would worry if it was tow rig or something seeing heavy loads. I've seen many high power, big tire, low geared off-road rigs running 5 or 6-lug Dana 60's and have never seen or heard of a lug failure.
