14b lockers, same for 4.10/4.56?

buddy has a cucv 14b and ive got a stock 14b with 4.10s and a lockrite or some other locker. is it possible to swap the 4.10s onto the detroit from the cucv 14b and the 4.56's on the lockright or whatever locker? i know open carriers are different, so i dont think it will work, but i just want confirmation. thanks

I'm pretty sure it can be done

Aslong as neither are gove lock 14Bff you will be fine swaping between them.

The only one that is diffrent it the govelock one.

I thought the breaking point was between 4:10 and 4:46. any gear ratio 4:10 and down are the same and any gear ratio 4:56 and up are the same

thats what i thought, i just wanted verification

4.10 and down are the same and then 4.56 and up are the same. The only way to have 4.56 gears on the 4.10 carrier is to install 4.56 thick gears.

If it's a lockrite or a detroit & it is in a 14BFF it will swap . You don't have to swap carriers for those lockers , they go inside of the carrier & replace the spider gears , but only if it is an open carrier.
