14b shave...the difficult way

Just like anyone that does something new for the first time, there will be issues. Props to him for pioneering and doin somthing new. I think thats an awesome wat to get some good clearance....He said he has more clearnce now than he did with his old 12b..:eek1:

i wonder...

at what point do you give up strength for ground clearance? does the diff cover add any strength to the housing? looks like he did a good enough job on it, but that diff cover is:yikes:
 
dont remember where i saw it, but that dude with the ctd/allison powered SAS S10 did the same thing like two years ago.
 
wouldn't you have problems with the gear life after grinding it "HOT', maybe i am wrong but i think the hardening of the gear could be detempered by this:confused:
 
would there still be enough oil goin through it to keep it from over-heating? not much oil will be able to go through the bottom
