Sold

Specs:
3.73 ratio
Gov-lock- works perfect
4340 6 lug shafts
disc brakes
homemade rear cover
new outer bearings and seals
9/16 studs

Needs brakes, soft lines and brake "tee" fitting.

Things to know: This axle is a bolt in for 1/2-3/4 ton blazers, pickups and suburbans, but some modifications will be needed to get brakes to work. The metal piece on the outer brake pad that sticks out perpedicular to face of the rotor will need to be cut off. I cant remember, but I dont think any caliper modifcations are necessary. I thought I completely welded the inside of the cover but it leaks a little from somewhere. Other than the above things, its ready to drop in. Soft lines I used were off a 79 chevette, and calipers were of course eldorado ones, but front calipers will work, you just wont have an e-brake.

Im Asking 250 local pick up

Edit: If you want, I will include 9/16 studs for the front hubs, you just have to drill them out. I can also throw in McGard wheel locks and lugs nuts if you want.

Help me out here as I'm not well versed in custom built rearends yet.

Is the cover welded onto the differential housing? Or, is it just welded together and then bolted on. I can't tell from the pic. Also, what kind of condition are the gears in? Please excuse my ignorance and thanks for the info.

The cover is welded together then bolted on. Its made of 10 guage steel I think, I cant remember now. I wouldnt have used the axle if the gears werent in good condition. Also, people tell you that gov-locks are crap, but everyone on here says that doesnt apply to anything but the 10 bolt, and its always worked when I needed it.

I didn't think it would make any since to weld it on, but you never know. I'll research it a little and let you know if it's something that might work for me.

wanna trade for a d60ff rear out of a currently running and driving 68 1ton? or my 10b posi rear? just an idea really...

That would be a negative. About the only things I would be willing to trade with is a 14ff locker and 10bolt carrier that is some sort of aftermarket locker or limited slip, and a winch.

my current 10b has an auburn limited slip and 456 in it. pretty sweet dude. you also get an extra for parts!!! i also got a driveshaft and the homemade style shackle flip stuff.

This really is a cherry axle, I've busted my knuckles on it a couple times. The disc set up is worth the price alone.
