15" wheel on a 14bff?

so do the factory aluminum wheels fit on the 14bff. cuz i was just up under lookin at one and the drum looked HUGE and too big for my wheels. on another note, i just did some measurements, and came up with about 1.5 less inches of clearance from a 10 bolt to an un-shaved 14bff, anyone have anything different? thanks..

Factory aluminum wheels for a K5 are 6 lug so they wont go on a 14BFF (8 lug) There are no 8 lug aluminum 15" wheels made that I know of, and they wouldn't fit anyway only steel rims will fit

15" rims will fit but they've gotta be steel or you have to have a ton of backspacing. The profiles are different. Aluminum rims have to use more material to make up for strength. I'm currently looking for a set of 15x12 steel wheels in an 8 lug pattern. They're few and far between, and the only ones I have been able to find are all around $100 and white spoke...oh well, live and learn, shouldn't have bought used tires before I did my research. 15x10's are a lot more common and much cheaper, but my boggers are 18" wide

The 6 lug 14B in the late models is a semi floater. The full floater was only available "stock" in 8 lug. 15" steelies will fit over the drums as well. The front is where the fitment problems come in. You have to grind to make 8 lug wheels fit on a 10b/44 and even more on a 60
