15" wheels on 14Bolt FF

15\" wheels on 14Bolt FF

will 8 lug 15" wheels fit a 14Bolt FF with around 4" of backspacing?? or is the drum too big??

they will fit fine. The front 8 lug axle is where you run into problems with clearence of the brake caliper and brake backing plate. A grinder can solve that problem.

FWIW, the SF 14 has more trouble clearing the 15" wheels than the 14 bolt FF does. We had to grind some of the fins off the drum on my buddy's truck when he still had the SF 14.

I've never had clearance issues with either of my FF's and 15's. One with the 11" brakes, one with the 13" brakes and then with the rear disc's.

NICE!! thanks guys, I keep running into snags with this 14 bolt swap, I figure I better get ALL the lil questions out b4 I found out the hard way....Its really pissing me off that very few companies make 15" 8 lug wheels. /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif

Ok I shoulda been more specific...they should offer ALL their wheels they have in 6lug in 8 too....I cant find ANY like the ones I have currently
