15x8 and Grindage

NTWONLINE has 15x8 8 lug Eaton steel wheels with 3 1/2" backspacing, Summit Racing carries the 15x10 8 lug Cragar steel wheels with 4" backspacing

I have a set 8s that I had on my D60, they are 4/25 IIRC. Had to grind quite a bit, but got it to clear. Did the same thing on the axles that were in my burban, had a D44HD with the same plates that you have. Keep grinding......

I got it. 1.5 hours O grindin and they fit great. I got to break out the Ol yellow crayon from the tool box that we used at the tire stores to mark things. The 4" back spacing wheels will totally fit. You just have to grind a bunch of metal off and then keep grinding till your hands get tired. Oh and then grind a little more. I totally reccomend doing it without a mounted tire. Damn things are heavy. I think going into it and not knowing how much you get a little worried about taking to much off. But you really are not taking structural metal off. I needed you guys for the confidence to grind on the brake area.

Thanks for being there and letting me bug Ya'll. :)

They are 15x8, 8 on 6.5, 2.75" BS. Because they are such shallow BS, they have the larger bead on the outside. Some people call them "poor man's beadlocks." They are called reverse wheels, that's what the "R" means in the description.

I know what you mean about the outer bead...when the tire shop (and I) put my 42's on the wheels, it seemed impossible...until we tried putting them on from the "other side" of the wheel....much easier that way.

Maybe that is why I've had such good luck without popping beads. Haven't popped one yet in nearly two years, I have ran as low as 7 psi front and 4 psi rear.........

I am going with 15x10's with 2-3/4 bs. I just set up a deal where I can buy the with that back space or 4 1/4 bs for 65 a wheel. Black heavyduty Mods. I post pics when I get mine in.
