16x10\'s fit on 8-lug 10-bolt?? As a "newbee" I have a question regarding wheel fitment. I'm planning to soon lift my '79, and of course, get new wheels and tires. It's a 3/4-ton with an 8-lug Corporate 10-bolt front axle. The rims on it are the stock 16.5". I like the idea of the locking bead on 15" and 16" rims, to keep the tire seated when aired down. My big question is whether or not a set of 16x10 steel wheels, with "standard" backspacing will fit?? Right now, with the stockers, the brakes and tie rod ends look pretty close... think there's enough clearance to go down to 16's?? Is anyone running this wheel size, and if so, any grinding to the brakes or the rod to clear?? Thanks much in advance.
