1977 K5 "Sparty On"

Pic of the day is called....."Cluster F*ck Of Wires"! Some days I wish I would have just cut the dash out & did a custom one! Had to cut the zip ties off to rewire new toggles in. It's really not that bad but looks like a mess when torn apart.

Got the panel wired up this morning & just need to finish ziptieing it & add the sleeveing to run along the roll cage & down into the glove box area.....

When it's 12 degrees out @ lunch time & your garage isn't heated.....you bring it inside & work on it while watching Diesel Brothers!! The drive is there but the body isn't @ that temp....

Got it all zip tied together & sleeving installed. Also got it hung where I wanted it & bolted in! Now just need to run the loom across the backside of the cage & down the passenger side piller!

Wiring up the nitrous & getting all the wires run..... Also trying to figure out the HP line from the PS pump to the orbital. It's been a tricky little issue!

After searching & searching trying to find an adapter fitting for my HP line from the pump to orbital. I just ended up using a stick line......but the fittings aren't the same fitting on both ends.....WTF! So I had to cut the bad fitting off & get another matching fitting, so now we're good to go!

Got the wiring all run & into a loom, now just need to finish wiring it in the cab. Need to order a stretch cord for the go baby go button & a nitrous pressure gauge....

I like your build! I am doing something similar...498 BBC with 290 CC AFR's and a Lunatti solid roller. I went the 1 ton route front and rear. I also upgraded the brakes to hydro boost. I hear cammed BBC's can lose quite a bit of vacuum due to the extra overlap from larger cams. Is this something you might be looking into as well?

Not gonna try and run hydro boost brakes w/ full hydro steering as well....gonna be to much strain on the PS pump.

Gotcha, well, if I have steering issues down the road I might just go for a PSC hi performance steering pump. BTW what size shot you thinking about spraying?

It's a 100-250 shot, I have a cast crank right now w/ thumb rods & forged domed pistons.....more than likely not more than 150 on this setup. Down the road I'm gonna get Comps Cams 11-405-5 cam, bump up compression a little bit more, & get a steel crank. Then turn it up more.....:usaflag::usaflag:

Was able get the holes drilled & mounts bolted down this afternoon for the nitrous bottle. Still need to drill the hole for the feed line still. But ended up pushing the bottle back a bit from the first mounting spot I picked.
