Something to break up the sheet metal work.

Pulled the rear cover to check what gears I have. Fluid was nasty. 3:73 gears open diff.

I only get about one day a week to work on this if I’m lucky, so progress is slow.
Painted diff cover. Not sure why. Also changed fluid in front diff. Then half the fluid ran out of the pinion seal. So I guess I’ll add that to the list.

Passenger side rear floor area welded to inner rocker.

Passengers side all burned in finally. I can’t believe how terrible these aftermarket panels fit. Would take half the time if I could get GM metal.

Prepping for paint and such.

Currently working on making the 208 shifter functional.

Shifter mounted and functional. Won’t be able to use the factory 208 shifter bezel cause the NV4500 boot and 208 bezel is so big.

Trimmed the 208 bezel tabs.

Going to use the factory 203 bezel and get a new boot.

Should look similar to @Larry Suburban.

Went to put the door back on and noticed it had some cracks. Had to weld those up.

Decided to go for a drive and get some fuel since it had been sitting a while.

Back in the garage to work on the drivers side now. Shouldn’t take as long as the passenger side did I hope

Gauge restoration. Old housing was junk. Got a new one, new printed circuit, and new lens. Cleaned up everything else.

I may have missed it in the thread somewhere, but what exhaust do you have? Were tailpipes part of a kit or just custom fab? I really like the way they sit/exit
