1981 k5-thats all she wrote :(

That looks awesome. Im so jealous lol. And you traded the axles straight up for the tcase and doors?? Pretty sweet deal man:thumb:

pretty much.

he brought me t case, tube doors, brake calipers (which i used as $40 core charge for my new jb7 calipers) and $60.

i gave him the old 3.73 14 bolt and the DIY disk brackets i had bought and never used.

hes a pretty nice guy.hes the one i got my springs and TSLs from

So I got the whole rear axle and disc brake setup all finished up. Only thing I'm waiting on now is the brake lines from ord. I just ordered them, I'm hoping they come in for install this weekend but I might have missed the deadline. We will see. Hopefully work is turning around so I can start getting the Dana 60 parts I want.
That's gonna be expensive quick.

I hear you on the Dana 60 Parts. I still have over a grand, Wait, No, 2 grand to put into mine. :dunno:

Your rig is getting there!!!

Yeah. I'm just going to the minimums together the axle under. Than later on I'll spring for gears and locker and the hydro. Just need to refresh the bearings seals and get the 35 spline upgrade and maybe a cheap crossover. Wasn't the plan a few weeks ago, so let's see what next week brings

That's about the same thing I did. Now I need to get the hydro finished, locker new shafts. And on and on!

Good luck!

Yeah. Only thing thy sucks is I don't have the hub end or I'd just stay 30 split for now to save money. But if I'm gonna spend that much to get those might as well buy the flanges I'm gonna need and get the 35 spline stubs same time. Ah well I'll still be able to wheel the 10b for awhile (I hope)

Gawdamn it. Have to terror all if this... (ETA*** i dont know wtf i was trying to say right there....?? <<----)

So with my axle came a greasy parts bag. It's a spicer 30 spline setup

What am I missing?
Having never opened an operable hub setup how does it all go together
What and where do I need to complete this setup
And is it worth using this with my stock 30 splines or just wait to use the 35 spline setup

bump for eyes to see.

from just cleaning up the parts i see i only have 1 spring, and 1 of the little flat plate with the knob on it. (both parts in middle rows on bottom)

I bet if you were to put it all back in that greasy bag and throw it at the wall long enough everything would just pop right into place and the extra peices may even show up too...

Ive taken mine apart a few times, and nothing looks the same so i gots no idea, sorry.

Wish I could give you the exact answer but my D60 is a dodge unit with external lock outs...yuck!

might try looking at the pirate4x4 Dana 60 bible... I feel like I seen an exploded view of the hub assembly there

edit* kind of hard to make out but they have an exploded view of both hub types on page 1

My new ord lines on my rear disk setup.
Should I go over the leaf pack and down which makes a cleaner setup at the caliper, or u der the springs and come and loop up to the caliper,

I like going under the leafs but don't like how it flips around bcuz the calipers have those little banjo bolt shields cast in??? What do I doooo

So since I have a harbor china tube kinker and Ive got my buddies big welder and some ol pipe I got for free decided to build myself a bumper.

That looks nice man. I got that same "Pipe" bender. Did you use it on pipe or tubing?

I like that a lot, actually. Simple, yet effective. I might be referring back to this in the future.

Pretty sure it's just poop pipe. Got it for free from my work

Thanks. Actually my wife told me how she wanted it. It's not perfect since I just used the calibrated eye ball to build it. But as long as the frame can hold up and the welds on the receiver hold up I'll be happy
