Time to sell my baby, even though I always said I wouldn't

I have a very built 1982 K5 Blazer. I have owned/built it over the last 12 years. Never got to complete it like I wanted and has sat more than it should have. It is street legal and able to be driver home no worries. Hate to sell it but moving on from wheeling to motorcycles.

Specs:
1982 K5 Blazer
6.2L Diesel
SM465 trans to NP203/NP205 Doubler/ with a flat belly with skid plate
High Angle Driveline drive shafts front and rear
Front Dana 60 w/detroit locker 4.88 gears/Factory 10 chromoly axle shafts/35 spline outers/spicer hubs broached to 35 spline/crossover steering /psc hydro assist/heavy duty diff
Rear 14 bolt w/detroit locker 4.88 gears/heavy duty diff cover/antiwrap bar/disk brakes
38.5" Super Swamper SX Tires on 15"x9" Beadlocks
Custom 12 point 1 3/4" DOM roll cage built by Dave Grutwillig at Gulf Coast Crawl Shop/ tied to the frame/ through the firewall to the front bumper. 3 Corbeau suspension seats with 5 point harness's mounted to the cage
Heavy duty DOM tube bumpers front and rear/ rock sliders
Front and rear winches Warn 8274 in the front Mile Marker E12,000 in the rear
32 Gallon fuel cell\ dual yellow top optimas
1"body lift with the common 52"/56" spring setup with a shackle flip. Comes out to be around 5 inch's of lift. Fox reservoir rear shocks.

$13,500 I am pretty firm on the price. This is not a hack job of a truck, it was built to hang with the best, but never got a chance. I also have a large supply of spare pares I will include for the right price.

Serious inquiries only. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE MY TIME WITH LOW BALL OFFERS

No Trades as I need the cash to buy a new bike.

k5 for sale

Do you have a build thread on your rig? Be nice to see pics of interior, how the cage is tied into the front, mods underneath without the mud. Looks very well set up.

THX, Kevin.

Ok, didn't see any engine compartment, specifically cage through the fire wall tied into the front, more of the fuel cell and battery relocation. I'd like to find help like her. Very disturbing avitar, by the way. More pics would help to sell it.

THX,

Kevin

All ready sick to my stomach. Hate to do it. But it just sits, has been for the last 3-5 years. Closest place to wheel that's even a challenge for the truck is 4 + hours away.

Don't see getting a tow rig or trailer any time soon so its time to sell it to buy a bike. That is if I get what I want for it, not going to just give it away. I will just let it sit more in that case.

You put ALOT of work into that thing. Hate to see you sell it too. Hope you get what you want for it. I have what you're asking in reciepts and my truck is no where near done.

bump

Have a feeling this thing is going to sit for a while. :(

It might what kind of bike you looking for?

Harley bullet bike? You might be better off advertising local and doing some sort of trade.

Also put it up on Pirate. I have a buddy who just sold his truck to a guy in Alabama.

I have it posted up on several sites. Probably a poor time with the holidays. No real rush, but sure would be nice to get my bike. lol

Working on cleaning it up some to get some better detailed pictures of it also.

I am wanting the 2013 Triumph Street Triple R so really no chance of a trade.

never know man. I have a buddy that when the busas came out he went out and bought one. Rode it once and that was all, realized he liked going fast way too much and with a kid on the way decided it wasn't the right path for him.

He traded it straight up for a pretty nice Jeep.

Thing is the 2013 have not even hit the dealer. Should be a few more weeks. But it could always happen.

Was offered a trade for a HD 2009 Night Train, nice bike but don't want a cruiser.

Do you have the top and doors? I remember watching the build 6 yrs or so ago. Nice truck. Sending it to my buddy.

Top will no longer fit, roof was chopped off with no intention of using the top again. Have doors but they will not open due to the design of the rock sliders. Also have a tail gate that would need to be modded to fit.

Sorry brother but this thread bums me out. I wish you could get the bug again to keep it, but I understand your decision. Don't give it away for dirt cheap though.

Man Chris.... I hate to see you selling your rig....

Folks,, I have seen this rig in person and it is everything Chris has advertised...:pimp:

Very nice rig and worth the money he is asking for it...:waytogo:

Have started working on it again. Think I am going to make it a little more street friendly to be able to drive it more often. really don't want to sell it. Have close to or more than 3x my asking price in it.

Wooo hooo I hope this little bug continues to grow and fester!

I think one of the best things you could do to make it more streetable is to buy some radial tires. 40" yokohamas are not to terribly expensive last time I checked under 400 bucks I think would have to get 17s though
