I ordered a new rubber floor mat to replace the old worn out one. Got to cleaning and found some issues. Floor isn’t too bad but it needs some love. Gonna weld the cracks by the seat bolts and I ordered a replacement panel for the LH front to patch in. You can see where the clutch master was leaking too.
The corner you can’t see is a little crusty. It will need some love too. Can’t see through it yet though. This will be the first time I’ve messed with any kind of body work. If it goes well I might fix some more stuff.
Glad I’m not a body guy. This is not fun and I’m not real proud of my work but at least it’s not a giant rust hole. Now time to get some seam sealer and weld up the cracks in the floor and hopefully drive it again someday.
My drivers seat has been broken since I bought it and I think that’s why the floor is so bad in that back corner where the seat mounts. I think I read somewhere that 88-93 bucket seats are almost a bolt in application. Might look into that since I can’t find any blazer seats locally.
