1988 Suburban build

Decided not to let this truck piss me off anymore.

I will get this done, and there is no question about it.

Start up work early tomorrow.

Good thinking...keep in mind that anger is a choice you make. Adversity is what makes it truly worthwile in the end too. If it was dead easy would you really appreciate it as much as having to bust knuckles, get advice, try and try again etc etc?

Nothing worthwhile comes easy...I know it sounds trite, but it is true.

Every time I have had to remove these, I just soak with pb blaster or the Zep brand stuff, then take a small screwdriver and hammer and tap in the grove counter clockwise and unscrew them. Still takes a little time but it has worked 3 times. I know there is not as much rust here but thats what is making the groves to unscrew it. worth a shot

I ****ing give up. I have had enough. I cannot get the mother ****ing steering arm off, I have tried EVERYTHING, from chisels, to hammers to jacking up the ****ing arm, NOTHING.

Its been 3 ****ing days and Im back at zero, had to unbolt the springs just to lower the frame back down.

I ****ing quit, worst thing is I cannot afford to pay someone else to install this ****.

**** me.

Did you ever get yours done. This thread cracked me up. This is hilarious because I'm working on mine (91 burb) right now and my arm hurts. Bad part is, I'm not to the front yet. My fiance and I have been working on the rear for about a day.

I have both rear shocks out and one spring, whats the best way to get the bolts out of the darn spring hangers? I have some ideas for the next side but should a impact get them out. I have spraying penetrating fluid on almost all the bolts 3 or 4 times over the last 4 weeks.

Thanks Ryan

I should probably start a new thread, I'm going to search some more, this thread just cracked me up though.
