I take it nobody makes repros of the dash bezel trim for the 89-91? Or do we just have to mask/paint the brushed aluminum look?
I ordered a new bezel with trim but didn't know the earlier ones were different..

I tried to scotch brite a scratched one. Thats not really aluminum, its some sort of plated plastic, scotch brite went right through it. Paint is a good solution.

89-91 parts are the least often reproduced parts in the world of squarebodies. The dash bezel is one of the main parts that nobody makes.

Production was winding down for the squarebody trucks with the main trucks being produced were the new GMT400 models. That left the suburban, Blazer and one tons being built at lower volumes. This translates to less of those trucks than the rest of the squarebody years where the reproduction houses aren't spending the money to tool up for parts with less folks to sell them too.

About all you can do is watch ebay for good used or NOS original parts. Or get lucky and find a decent one in the junkyard. Which that's getting harder to do now too. Watch the classifieds here as they come up sometimes.

Good to know that the dash bezels are hard to find for 89-91. I didn’t realize they’re different. I was planning on replacing mine eventually, but guess not. I’ll have to be extra careful when I take it in and out to mess with stuff!

FWIW I used the LMC part #5 linked above advertised as 81-88 only and it fit perfect in my 89's dash bezel.

The 89-91 has a single din radio is the difference. This is a larger hole for the radio.
