Well if you are ever up in az let me know. My friend said he would do the conversion on others for a reasonable price. The price he gave me was pretty cheap compared to taking it to a shop. He told me around a grand althogh that may have changed after he finished mine.

Glad to hear no body sag. I am getting ready to do my 83....just got the windshield frame, top, caps, etc from a 75.
How did you determine the angle of the cut at the top of the doors. I am wondering now if I need the doors off the 75 for a template?????
In your research did you find a good way to brace underneath to ensure no body sag? I know you don't have any but I want to be safe and just get it done.

We did not make templates for the doors. After we grafted on the windshield frame Randy pretty much eyed and used tape as a guide to make the cuts. Then he had me take out the inners form the 74 doors and we tack welded the caps on. Hope this pic helps some.

I'm glad to hear that my article helped someone out. I love my '90 Full Convertible. Next project will be stretching it 12 inches to a 120” wheelbase (it’s a Desert Racing thing) and splicing two tops together behind the side windows.
