I've been searching and reading topics to try to pin point my problem and getting exhausted here. Basically over all my tbi 350 suburban started running like absolute garbage a few weeks ago. It sputters, hiccups, misses and ultimately runs bad.

Things that have been replaced in the last 2 years and it had a period where it sat for a few months and started driving it again for a few months no problem before it started causing trouble

New distributor
Cap wires and plugs (i've checked them out they look good)
Throttle body rebuilt by a local carb shop
All new sensors, map, tps, iac, egr solenoid, o2, water temp sensor
I've done a vacuum leak test on my egr valve and as well checked all my vacuum lines and a new pcv valve.
The fuel pump was replaced probably 6 years ago and fuel filter recently.
I've also timed 3 times and thats with the single wire on the firewall disconnected.

I may be missing something i've tried but worn out on ideas and searching for a problem!

I replaced the same coil 3 days in a row after breaking down on the exact same exit going to work. Replaced it on way home at same Advanced Auto and in the am it would repeat. Now has a junkyard coil on it and it runs perfectly.

What's your fuel pressure? What's the spray pattern look like? All vacuum lines hooked up properly, not cracked?

I had ignition module failure because I'd wired the alternator without a resistor (thanks Painless - I followed your advice). It did exactly what you describe. Do check your electrical system - if the alternator is failing, it will cause a myriad of problems.

That said, the problem is far more likely something plugged or a failing fuel line. Methanol and older rubber hoses are a bad mix - especially after sitting for awhile.

good luck!

Thanks Scott still regretting not doing the swap.

I think I'm gonna replace the coil as i don't think that's been done.

Haven't found any vacuum leaks yet.
