Selling this pile for a friend. Supposed to have no reverse... I haven’t played with it at all yet.
700in it yes/ no? I haven’t even checked the oil in it. It has been sitting for a couple years. Anything other than low oil to look at? Before I call it screwed!? I know they pulled a big travel trailer with it once and got it stuck in a ditch that’s when they said the trans went out.... Long story that I didn’t care to get into.:doah:

Pic of the truck....

Check oil, pull pan. Basic checks. My experience hasn't been kind to the 700. My instinct says it's toast.

Body looks decent. Otherwise not much to write home about. Boring 350. Scrap iron if it was at my farm. I already would be using it fill up junk to haul in. :haha:

Other than the oil that’s as far as i’m going to go. It can be for parts or someone can swap in a different trans.... the truck has a rebuilt 350 and actually is in good shape for a winter beater or farm truck. I don’t need it. I told her i’d try to sell it for her. But don’t expect much over 500.00 I wouldn’t pay that much for it! That said I got it for sale 1000.00 Obo. Can always go down!

Seems fair. Or just don't drive it where you need to backup. Lol!

I see lots of GMT400 trucks for sale up here with "no reverse" listed as the reason for the low price..followed closely by "rotted frame" and "300,000 miles"....

TH350's used to lose reverse before any other gears gave out ,I had three of them that had reverse suddenly refuse to engage or were just plain worn out with a bad clutch pack or something..
Two of them would go in reverse if you added some Lucas and were willing to wait anywhere from one minute to several minutes with the shifter in reverse, they would finally start engaging and disengaging, then go in reverse enough to move the truck,I assume those had a leaky seal or valve body problem..
