Blazer's been sitting for a long time but I got it running and cleaned up. Now I'm getting it ready for my son to drive around town. It has 4" front lift springs on both axles with 36" 13.5" IROK's on 15" wheels. The rear diff is a 14BFF and the front is the Dana44. It has the bolt in ORD steering brace and the weld in kit. I removed the front sway bar and no longer have it. Nothing is loose that I can see. It's just squirly on the road. I am pretty sure that it has the longer steering arm. The pitman arm is stock. The shock mounts on the differential in the front are broken on both sides so those need to be fixed. Should I get a beefier steering stablizer? I've got the beefier front shackle kit from ORD but it's not installed yet. Is there anything else that I could do or check to make it less squirly down the road? Thanks!

put the sway bar back in:waytogo:

I would if I still had it. I've read a lot on this board about sway bars and it doesn't sound like they do much for handling. I was under the impression that it's more for side to side body roll. Either way I don't have it any more. Any other ideas? Thanks!

the roll will make it squirly. if you have soft springs anyway. I put soft 3" alcans in the front of my burb and one trip down the road was enough for me:eek1: I went home and parked it till it was hooked up again. the wide a$$ tires will make them squirly if I remember right. a hefty stabilizer and proper alignment will fix that mostly though.

dont know what you mean or what im looking at? i have home made disconnects/ extenders.. but the this (in red circle) may be an issue to fix too.

Yes, shock mounts are broken. That needs to get fixed. Right above the red circle is the drivers side swaybar bracket I was talking about.

I guess I'll get the shock mounts fixed and try a new stabilizer and see how it drives.

Can you post a picture of the drag link? When you say "longer" do you mean the raised arm? If there was no steering correction with a 4" lift that would definately cause issues.

Do you know what brand the springs are? This would help us know how stiff of a spring we're talking about. Now if you put front springs on both axles, that would explain some trouble, but surely that is just a typo.

You really shouldn't even be out test driving without shocks. How are you expecting it to handle?

Shock mounts are broken. Like cracked or completely broken off? If your front shocks arent even attached then I would start with that first. Anything will be squirrelly without shocks....
