1990 K5 Blazer Project "Side-Chick"

Aptly named because this project is taking all the time and money that should be spent with my family, LOL! The plan for this truck is going to be an adequate trail rig thats still nice enough, and comfortable enough for my family to enjoy with me.
:waytogo: Sounds good. I’ve been looking to see how many other Texas family members were on here. Would be nice to have a little ride out there. I haven’t been yet but I’m sure it would be fun.

yeah, its alot of fun man. My wife and I went out there with a friend in her jeep. Its my wifes daily driver, so we didnt get too adventurous. But its a great little spot.

once I get my blazer back on the road, Ill hit you up for sure.

Nice build! I agree on the far from noob comments. Switching up a 44 and 12 bolt for one tons.. noob ish... Installing arbs and axle swaps smoothly = far from noob! Haha.
Stoked to see where this build goes
thanks man. Im not new to turning wrenches, and figuring stuff out. but I'm pretty new to the world of building a purpose built vehicle. Ive made some stupid mistakes, for sure. but thats part of the fun, right?

Oh for sure. I've heard a saying that it takes a few butchered projects to understand what not to do. I find it very accurate ha

I'm about an hour from hidden falls and have been there a few times with different vehicles. It's a good time for sure.

I was trying to look at their web site this morning either it’s down or my phone is jacked up. When would be a good time for y’all to go. I was thinking about letting my friends and family know to try and start planing it.

I'll have to talk to the boss (wife). But I'm not home for another three weeks.

I'm hoping my Blazer will be rolling again by the end of the year. So, shoot for say... February sometime? That will give time for holidays to calm down and everything.

Is there some kind of "frequent flier" program at ORD? I just ordered about $1700 worth of parts for the Dana 60. With that purchase, I think I have spent more at that website than I did for the truck....

Excited to tear into the front when I get home though.

Most expensive one in the closet haha. And I’m looking at a hydro assist system and disc conversion kit.

Thats a wrap for today! Both wheel hub assemblies done. One axleshaft done. Had to order a new stub shaft or I would have had the other one done too.

When disassembling the passenger side, I think I pressed just hard enough to tweak the ear enough that I couldn't get the c clips in. Damnit!

Damnit! Your right. I must have been to excited and chose wrong... good catch!
No problem. I just did my dana 60 crossover and noticed yours was in the wrong location. I'm jealous of the ORD leafs. I have some BDS 4" front leafs that are not bad. But could see myself upgrading to the ORD leafs in the future.
