1990 K5 with 4BT cummins

1028 looks cool, but a 700R-4 behind a 96 cummins? Not so sure about that one even if the CTD is stock. :dunno:
 
I understand your concern about a 700 behind a cummins. But the 700 is a level 3 Rapto from PATC. The only think they did not do was listen when I said it would hook up to a 205. Therefore had to buy an adapter from ORD. I needed some hiway speed if necessary. I only need the M1028/cummins to pull my Bobcat up the mountain. Climbs 4300' in 16 miles.
I also have a cummins in my 1990 K5. Just a 4BT with 700R.
I have taken photos of the M1028 build every step of the way, therefore this could assist others in a similar project. I have reviewed many cummins into chevy transplants but really does not relay all the information. Small details make a difference. And without photos it leaves this boy puzzled requiring additional time.
