Friend of mine just found this. truck has been sitting a while. the guy that has it now said he wanted something better for long drives. got a new truck and this just sat. it has a 94 ctd in it with 37k on since it was redone. 4spd auto. its a air force crewcab. made to look like a silverado. all power nicely done inside and out. very clean. even has some upgades done to the motor. he wants alot of coin for it but i think its worth it. found a 91 6.5 td crewcab. i think the ctd would be better for what i want to do. a lot of towing. he is willing to take my m1028 as a trade with some cash. he wants 12k for it. just wondring what you guy would have to say. my m1031 has been a great truck to tow with. i was thinking this would be the next step up. thanks and post up.

I don't know about the 12k but it also depend on how much he values your trade for.
I think for you it's a step up definitely.
:D

I am getting 4200 for my m1028 and i paid nowhere even close to that. will see how it goes

I would see how much you can get a 94 (or later) dodge with the Cummins. That would be a good indicator of it's potential value (or lack thereof)...

If you get 4200 for your rig, you will pay 8K for a converted rig, do I have that right? Depends on a few things, Like the condition of the 6bt before it went in, the tranny that's behind it and it's condition. etc. Good luck finding a 94- 98.5 for less than 6K. Then add the labor and conversion parts $$$ I'm on the prowl myself to convert my clean K30 Dually CC. Haven't found the right deal yet, but I'll keep on looking.

yeah, you have it right. sorry to say if his son comes back to NJ. he might get the truck so for right now i am on standby and this sucks. nothing i can do about it. nothing and i mean nothing has been working out for me.:(
