1991 hood adjustment for front driver's side

I researched past posts and seem to find alot of discussion about issues with passenger side and back part of hood. My issue is that the front driver's side is slightly raised. The passenger side is fine. I have about a one inch gap from upper grill panel to bottom of hood lip. The hood was taken off by previous owner for paint work. Where on the hinges do I need focus on for adjusting that area.
