I have a "cutomer" rig that I am working on. It is a 1999 Ford Ranger. What is the best lockout hub for the cheapest price, and the cheapest place to buy it?

How does it work with no holes to attach the hub to?

Video shows how it is attached. Looks pretty sketchy to me. Little plastic snap on doohicky.

So no one on here has any first hand experience with one?

Not super surprised I guess.

I have lots of experience with Ford Rangers. I drive one regularly, and I think very highly of them. At least 6 have passed through my family in recent years.

But all of them are 2WD. :dunno:

And it sounds like I would be too late, even if I did know much about lockout options.

I have a set of manual lockouts from a 1st-gen explorer (should fit that era of Ranger) (Warn, IIRC). They slide in over the hub and are held in place on the lugs by the rim. But 99 is a couple half-generations removed from that. I have no idea whether they would work. I'm pretty sure I'd be the cheapest place you could buy them from, though.

Apparently they make one that bypasses the stupid snap and utilizes the lug studs to hold it on for a bit more.

Snap on hubs was sure a surprise to me.
Those are for the older TTB axles. Won't work on a '99.

Yeah, I was mostly just looking for anyone who had actual hands on experience with them.
