pretty darn sure its a 4.8, 5.3, 6.0... one of them.. my 99 had a 5.7 and i had to order all of the parts for it from a 98 cause theres no record in the computer of 5.7 in 99 only 5.3 or my parts guy is a dumba**:doah:

I can't believe how low the mileage is!

Oh and Rich I think it depends on it being a 1/2 ton, 3/4 ton or 1 ton as GM/Chevy changes the body style/drivetrain on 1/2 tons then 3/4 & 1 tons at different times...

We have a 2000 3/4 ton with the Big Block Vortec but it has the "obs" front clip still when 1/2 ton 2000 pickups have the newer front clip...

That style of K1500 (Silverado) never came with the Gen I (5.7) engines. It would definately be an LS series, almost certainly a 5.3 or 4.8. The 6.0 was never put factory in the 1500 until the Vortec Max around '05 or so, except for the SS, which debuted around 03- which was never offered with a stepside bed- or in the early style nose. The 00 year was a transitional year, much like 07, with a model year split in the middle.

Bump for a really clean rig.
