Headed out to see why no longer 4 wd. Switch acts normal lights work as usual, goes into 4H and low range but drives like front not pulling.

Gonna put it on jack stands, check fluid, start and see if front is turning at all, listen for weird noises. Check shafts etc. Then I will look at actuator and switch on tease. Yay!

Look for a vacuum leak. The vacuum actuator that pulls the front axle engagement cable is directly under the battery box. Pretty common to have battery acid wipe out the vacuum hose.

Replaced vacuum line and rerouted it so it doesn't get melted and installed new actuator. Noticed a bunch grease on the right cv shaft but around the fat part not where the boot is. No boot damage. It was slung as the part rotated by the look of it.
