I have a 2004 c 5500 8.1 with the dual fuel tanks. Where the rear fills the front when it gets low. At least that's how it is supposed to work. Fuel gage was at 1/4 tank front tank was empty rear was full, could not get rear pump to kick on. Only time to get rear to run was in disconnected the front pump and gauge plug i kicked on for about 1 min that was it. Never kicked on again, verified pump good . Checked internet several issues, never found a resolution. From what I have read many of the 3500 trucks with dual tanks were set up the same way, not 100% sure though. Not sure where to look, I have not dealt with this setup before. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know anything about those setups but I have had my share of problems with dual tanks on my big rig as well as pick up , they usually ended up being simple like plugged breather or faulty sensor,in the meantime you can bypass the system and put a switch to run the pump manually
