We had a thread like this a previous year so might as well have another.

My picture for June is a shot taken at a local playground. We found this new line that is very skinny with a decent fall if you slide off. This picture was the second time I have ran that line. You have to crawl up a steep ledge first then make a 90 degree turn and try to be centered up on it, generally requiring a wide front dig turn.... or rear steer if you are ClintA (red dodge on rocks). Picture was taken by ssyork.

Here are a couple other shots I have to show the same obstacle.

Nothing too terribly interesting about mine. The connecting link for the 4x4 fell out at the beginning of the trail, so I ran bailing wire to it and tied it to a mini sledge that I put in the passenger side floorboards...it's still like that a year later :haha:cuz I'm just going to finish my doubler rather than wasting any time on that 203.

Here's some more shots from that day, it's really a pretty cut and dry trail. I like to run it for shakedown runs because it's easy to escape from (most around here you are trapped in a canyon with only two ways out) if you have any serious issues. I don't remember what we were testing out, I think it might have been right after I put the new Pitbulls on there. Guy in the white TJ is the one that took the picture for the calendar BTW.

Same trail but later in February (I think the calendar run was September/November).

My turn I guess.

The day we went wheeling was about the day before the deadline for pics.

So I went wheeling with a couple sets of batterys and my good camera.

It was also the first time my niece has driven off road.

Only the second time she has ever driven anything.

Some pics from the same day

That loop is considered a pretty easy loop even though this rig ( toy on 40s geared but lacking a front locker) could not even come close to making it. I had to pull him out backwards

Fun day I I accomplished what I set out to do

Thanks. :)

My story is that it was New Years Day this year and my friends and I wanted to snowshoe out to Pilot Rock. There's an access road to the trail head which isn't plowed. It's a pretty rigorous hike, so I wanted to get us as close to the trail head as possible so as to not use up all our energy hiking to the trail head. I got a couple miles up the road, cutting my own trail before I decided to park. I also didn't want to go so far as to risk getting seriously stuck, as we were alone in my truck.

This is where I finally parked the truck. That's about 2.5 feet of snow. I'm on 38's in that pic, wheel half covered = 19" and then I'm on another foot or so. It was all fresh from the night before so it was fluffy and hard to stay on top of it.

We hiked to where the trees disappear in the middle of that nob, Pilot Rock.

This is where we stopped. If you go to the left of the rock as pictured above, you can hike up into the crevasse where I'm standing here. In the summer you scramble to the top. Pretty rad hike.

Pretty stunning view of NorCal:

Good night, Pilot Rock. That was actually the last time I hiked it before we moved. One of my favorite places in So. Oregon.

Mine was last February at a wash called Sycamore creek. We had some decent rain the previous weeks and with as sandy and loose as the soil is here a rain fall can change the whole trail. Me and a buddy were wheeling that day but he broke his truck early and headed back to town. I wasn't ready to leave so I decided to take it easy and wheel easy trails I was familiar with. The rain had cut a huge hole that I didn't see and I dropped the front tire in it.I ended up putting the truck on its side, lost oil pressure, and ruined the motor. The pic was taken right before I dumped it. Here are a few more pix from that day

This would have made a perfect calender pic. Just crop out the person with the camera.

Hmmm. I don't understand any of that. But, my wife is on the left, my friend and his wife are on the right.

They thought that was you with 2 chicks, but didn't realize someone had to take the picture:haha:

Don't you have more stories to make up about your friends banging celebrities or something?

Seriously though, I do admit I thought it was pretty impressive he could get that far away from the camera with snow shoes on and a dog in the way before the 10 second delay snapped the picture...it made me wonder. I also thought it was odd he was wearing two different things but the pictures weren't close enough to see it was a different guy. Sometimes you have to shed layers when you are hiking.

By the way, now that I know that's not you, has your freind always had such a small thermostat? I have never seen a dude get more bundled up than the women in the same trip.

Anyway, I should mention these are some cool stories behind the pics, it's nice to know what happened for the cool pics in the famous calendar.

my friend actually has a lot less layers on that those ladies. The ladies have down jackets on under their shell jackets along with long underwear, etc. Neither he nor I have hair, so we frequently wear balaclavas to keep our heads warm. Otherwise, he and I were both just wearing t-shirts and shell jackets and waterproof pants. ;)
