2018 last minute thrash.

Got the Jeep out and driving.

Have coolant bubbling out past a head stud...:angry1:

Head stud pulled and thread sealed and reinstalled. Burped the cooling system is a nightmare on these jeep cherokees.

It's wired that my tow rig and the Jimmy are ready. But the BB stuff is not done yet. So I still do not feel ahead of the curve.

I haven't spent much time getting anything ready, I've been working on my house for the last month getting it cleaned up before I start building my new garage/shop.

We replaced the driveshaft in the S-10 and put some aluminum tape on the big hole we busted in the A/C housing, that's the only thing we've done since we took it to KOH last February.

The motorhome got filled with fuel and a partial water tank load and the grey and black water tanks got drained. I still need to pack all my tools and look over the trailer (hasn't been used since KOH either). I'll be working on the house most of the weekend, so all that other stuff has to happen during the week...

@Desert_K5 and I will be showing up Thursday night but we don’t have access to our cabin till Friday. Where would we be able to park and sleep in our trucks that won’t get us or anybody in trouble? Probably be arriving around 7-8 pm we’re thinking.

I have 6” lift and 33’s. Mine is a total mall crawler. This being my first trip I intend to just show up and be part of the event and make every effort to avoid every slightly challenging obstacle. Maybe I come back next year with a more competent rig. We will see. Do you think I really need all of that if I’m taking the easiest path with a light foot the whole time?
My Yukon is on 33's and about 6" of lift, and I've done the Golden crack and other gnarly obstacles with no issue. Just drive steady and be easy on the throttle and follow your spotter. You'll be fine.

My last minute thrash is:
New u-joints in the front driveshaft
New HVAC control unit
Install CB radio
Oil change

Then I'll be ready to go.

Last minute thrash is going down. Thanks to @Fastereddie for spending his Saturday fixing the transmission in my crew cab. Would be a passenger without his help.
The rest of my thrash is:
4" lift, may or may not flip kit, depends on time
mount tires
detroit locker
steering wheel swap
find a trailer
Sell some blood for an arb cooler. Wow those thing are nice!

This thread makes me feel a little better as I lie in bed wide awake thinking what I have left to do.

Here’s my list:
-finish rear shock mounts
-measure for front shaft and limit straps
-finish mounting hydro ram
-mount front bumps
-weld both diffs
-put interior back together
-mount cb and antenna

Yeah, I have lots to do, and my brain doesn't like to let me sleep all night.
Hang in there, and get it done to go play!!!!
