It’s a Jeep thingHead stud pulled and thread sealed and reinstalled. Burped the cooling system is a nightmare on these jeep cherokees.
Yep, I would never understand. It’s a Jeep thing

My Yukon is on 33's and about 6" of lift, and I've done the Golden crack and other gnarly obstacles with no issue. Just drive steady and be easy on the throttle and follow your spotter. You'll be fine.I have 6” lift and 33’s. Mine is a total mall crawler. This being my first trip I intend to just show up and be part of the event and make every effort to avoid every slightly challenging obstacle. Maybe I come back next year with a more competent rig. We will see. Do you think I really need all of that if I’m taking the easiest path with a light foot the whole time?
Yeah, I have lots to do, and my brain doesn't like to let me sleep all night. This thread makes me feel a little better as I lie in bed wide awake thinking what I have left to do.
Here’s my list:
-finish rear shock mounts
-measure for front shaft and limit straps
-finish mounting hydro ram
-mount front bumps
-weld both diffs
-put interior back together
-mount cb and antenna
@6872xtc mentuoned “gas tank skid plate” I don’t have one. Do I need one? Trying not to panic. My Yukon is on 33's and about 6" of lift, and I've done the Golden crack and other gnarly obstacles with no issue. Just drive steady and be easy on the throttle and follow your spotter. You'll be fine.
My last minute thrash is:
New u-joints in the front driveshaft
New HVAC control unit
Install CB radio
Oil change
Then I'll be ready to go.
