Friend has a 1980 slip yoke 205 that he is thinking of swapping in place of his 1984 208. Wondering if the output shaft on his 700 has the same spline count/length (same adapter) as the 350 the 205 is mated to now, and will mate right up like he thinks it will. Guess he has ideas of converting it to a non slip yoke, although I think he's half assing it...he SHOULD be running a TH350 or 400 and a non slip yoke 205, instead of a 700 with the 208 or slip yoke 205, but he doesn't have a bunch of money. Imagine that, he paid $4000 for a truck he's destroyed, and is now taking all the "good" parts off of, to make it more a wheeler. Not quite sure why the beat, aready lifted, '76 he has wouldn't have served better duty as a wheeler. I digress though, I just think $4000 would have bought one HELL of a nice drivetrain.
