In my 2wheel burn thread . 2nd page half way down it starts the pics .
Had to use the weld on plate . Only prob i had was lower strip was different for some reason . . If this is your need .

Did your frame have a big pocket in it behind where the steering box mounted?
Yep but from were it was hit and frame bent i assuming is were it come from . I flattened it back out as you see and put the plate on and box on no problems .

My 77 C10 build has pics from repairing the frame.
Starting at post #82.
I had to do a lot of massaging on the weld on frame plate.
The pocket behind the steering box is normal for 73-80 2wd frames. I do not have an 80s 2wd frame handy to check, I just sold the only one I had.

Just tell your customer to be thankful their frame isn't as bad as mine was. Bolt the brace to the frame and beat it into shape while heating with a torch to make it fit.
And they do offer 2wd bolt in steering box braces like our 4wd ones .
