I want to take the powertrain (350 / manuel trans), springs, shocks, lift kit, etc.. from my 79 K5 4X4 and put into 79 K5 2X4 (350 / automatic trans).. I am going to need frame specs for the 2WD to see what i will have to change. Also need to know if the gear boxes are the same. Thanks for any info or links that you can provide.. My frame and body are shot.. And I miss the mud...

    air chisel

will be required to knock the rivets from the crossmembers that need to be changed
if you have a 4x4 frame to rob the parts from it is a bunch of work but no big deal
IMO it offers a good opportunity to move the front springs rear shackle to a more favourable position for aftermarket lift springs
