33"s on a 94 Z71

How wide? You can fit 285/75/16 on these trucks easily and they are 33x11ish... They fit fine on stock rims but once you put a wider rim on or one with less backspace you will have to trim or crank the torsion bars....

Heres what I'm looking at.
LT255/85R16D BFG,T/A,KM #66524
33.3 TALL, FITS 6.5-8 INCH RIM
Tall and skinny with some deep tread. It'll make the truck look like a field tractor.:haha:

a lot of my friends have z71's on 33's. they just put 2" to 3" body lifts on them and call it done since the suspension is smooth on the trucks anyways. ive never even heard of a 255/85 before. must look goofy.

Just a T-bar crank and alignment; no trimming.
looks good. my 03 is already cranked up with rear shocks that has coil spring on it. might get leveling kit for it too. maybe half inch to one inch body lift. tires are 265 75 16s i dont like it.. heres the pic

thats not bad at all! i actually like it a lot. most of the silverados i see with hardly any lift and 33's look kinda crappy (they have wheel spacers so the tires stick all the way out.) but they are skinny!

I've used KOs for decades, so for a change, and to get height, I found these 33 KMs that fit the stock wheels (low $$). Going out to the Desert this coming weekend. I'll post-up a report.
BTW, open diffs.

heres my dads 97 gmc

has 3" bl and a 2" leveling kit on 35/12.5/16.5

I fit 305/70s on stock rims on my 97 Z with a slight crank and minimal rubbing on the LCA at full lock. It makes all the difference if you keep your stock rims... lot's of bs and pretty narrow. Please don't buy a "leveling kit" for your truck, it's a waste of money. Just buy some Ford keys and perhaps some heavier duty bars and call it a day.

Here is a shot of my 97:

Nice lookin truck man

Once again like he says stock wheels are key on fitting the larger tires on these trucks... As soon as I put 8" wide Classic IIs on my truck with 285's the cut off wheel came out of the toolbox to trim the bumper and valence, I couldnt turn at all without scub. The rear of the fenders is fine its just the front. You can always turn the bars up a little but Id rather just trim a tiny bit than turn mine more than they are to level the front end....

Here's a few pics of mine for reference...

285's with 8" wide Mickey T's, note trimmed valence and slight bumper trim as well...

285's with stock 7" wide wheels...

I went with the 33s so they would fit the stock rims, and 35s would only get me one more inch under the 14B. To do 35s right would have meant wheels, lift, cutting..........
I'll still add 2-4 lift later on, for clearance under the belly.
