Quick question I heard early model 4500's had the same bellhousing bolt pattern. Doesn't look like it from your pics of the 92's.
Nope, neither early or late style will interchange with a 465 bell. There has been a few guys that have drilled the transmission to accept a 465 bell but if you are running at least a 4" lift you can use a stock 4500 bell and save the cost of an Advance Adapter bell which is kinda pricey. Or use the 96+ with internal slave and clear with or without a lift.I left out an important detail in my question above, do the early 4500 have the same bell pattern as sm465?
Do you have a yrc terminal near you for shipping? If so shipping zip 93458 for a quote, it would just need to be strapped to a small pallet. I'm sure a ratchet strap would work.
Just to verify is the length from bell mounting surface to end of tail shaft mount 12" on the 4x4?

Every time I drive my K5 I tell myself that it is one of the best mods I have ever done on any of my vehicles. And I have been building cars/trucks/street rods for over 40 years. You guys are killing me. I’m trying so hard to talk myself out of getting one of these...![]()
