90 K5 with dana 60 and dana 70 4.88 gears 4inch suspension lift and 1" body lift. Hope to install zero rates to move front axle forward and rear axle back both 1.5". Ord or like crossover superduty shock mounts. Assist in the future.

Some rocks, some mud, some trails.

What did I forget? Should be ordering new TSL's for my H1's this week.

Give me opinions besides my clocking the 241 what have I missed.

Thanks

im running 39.5TSL's and i LOVE THEM!!!

from what i've seen...the tread placement on the 38.5's is different than the 39.5's. the 39.5's is the same as the 42's and 44's. i HAVE had both.

It sounds like you don't have a reason to get the 38's.

Get the 39's, you'll want bigger tires soon enough anyway :D

What about fire wall clearance? Will a zero rate get the axle far enough forward?

42's! i had 39.5's before and sold them to buy 42's.if you got the extra cash, definitely do it

Okay since the vote is split between 42's and 39.5's. Beside the cost of tires what else will the 42's cost? I have a set of cut out flares. But will the firewall clearance cost more money? Will 4.88's be enough? I would like to keep the truck low enough for rocks. Will 4.88's be enough?

Let me hear more from the brotherhood. I need real world info. If you have a proven combo let's hear it.

42's are truly 3" bigger than 39's, you will have to move the front axle at least 2" forward and you will have to cut the fender a lot.

I run a 383/465/205 with 4.56 gears and its ok. I wish it had lower gears (I'll be doing some kind of doubler here pretty soon) but it gets by just fine (also realize that its pretty much a buggy and serious rockcrawling demands lots of control).

Also realize that 42" tires means more stress on everything. Stock D60 outers will stand no chance.
