my friend has that set up. He took 2 leaves out for better flex, but wouldnt that make for wheel hop? That is the first thing i thought of when he told me that. What do you guys think??

thx mike

I am curious about this too, I have superlift springs in my 71 and want to do the same. It rides like they are 1 ton springs!!

i took 2 springs out of my packs mine were 8 inch superlift rears. rides and flexes alot better now. But due to my 454 and the 465 (spring wrap) i made a anti wrap bar works great now.

I get some pretty nasty axle wrap with 6" rear springs. It was worse when I had 1 leaf taken out of the pack. I had to put it back in cause it sagged down alot and wrapped like mad.

Matt (az-k5) had a shackle flip and it wheelhopped like crazy when we were running the dirt hills in Parker AZ. It wrapped so bad the ujoint strap bolts were hitting his driveshaft. The bolt heads were all beat to hell afterward. We were lucky he didn't snap the joint.

Amazingly the joint is still in tact, and I haven't changed the straps yet
