i have a question, the 4 low in my 91full size jumps. is it suposed to do that
What do you mean "jumps"? Does it not engage smoothly, or does the front of you truck pop up when you gas it in 4Lo?
See my truck at <A target="_blank" HREF=http://albums.photopoint.com/j/Albumindex?u=1329584&a=9886502>http://albums.photopoint.com/j/Albumindex?u=1329584&a=9886502</A>
by jump, do you mean pops outta low range?
two things here that i know of-
proper shift linkage specs....
worn out range fork tips......
someone with a little more knowhow may chime in here, but unfortunately unless you messed wit' the shift linkage or really slammed it into low or out or something, the latter is probably the cause...
it's just not smooth, it jerks you back.
THATS LOW RANGE BUDDY.I LOVE IT AND YOU WILL TOO
If you don't have a VERY smooth right foot, 4Lo can feel "jumpy", because your truck is accelerating so quickly. Granted, it's accelerating from a very slow speed to a speed only slightly faster, but it's so quick it kinda feels violent. I felt the same way the first time I drove in 4Lo.
