40 gallon suburban tank

i wanna put a 40 gallon tank under the burb..im about to get one from a carbed burb can i use it under mine??will a 31 gallon tank sending unit work in the 40 gallon???remember my truck is a 1987 with tbi...

If you are running tbi you need a baffled tank. I think you will need to find a burb tank and 40 gallon sender. Also the carbed tank sender hole may be smaller than your tbi sender.

Of course this is all from memory and may be completely wrong.

i have the 40 gallon burb tank but its off a 70s model...
