will a 420 pto unit fit on a 465 tranny ?
i dunno, but when you find out(and if it does), and if you are willing to sell it to me, PM me please.
i believe so but am not positive i think a pto winch will fit any pto drive but i don't know much about ptos /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
how can i find out ? i do have a 465 laying here i could always bolt it to and try out i suppose
It's been a long time since I even thought about a 420, but I think they had square cut gears, while the 465 has bevel cut gears. If this is indeed true, then the drive gear on your 420 PTO won't mesh with the gears inside a 465. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
the unit bolts onto and spins with the gear on the 465 i have here, will work fine, both 420 and 465 have bevel gears
Cool! (See what happens when ya get old!) /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif
i consider myself old, i turn 25 within the next month, already......
which gear does it run off of?
the big gear on lowest shaft in the tranny, its right out in the open when you rmeove the cover
