got the burb back together and running today. in all i had 2 flat lifters. no abnormal wear or anything like that, just the spring inside went flat. not sure why, i have great oil pressure.
so...we'll see how long this go round lasts.

yep, just the lifters. cam looked good. no weird wear on it or the old lifters. just had a couple that went flat...

yes, its just strange that so far this motor has killed a lifter and cam lobe and is now on its second cam has had 2 lifters go flat
