Hi,
Does the 454 have the same firing order as my small block? Fixing up the boat and looking to do distributor and wires.

Also, I went to a carb that has no vacuum fitting around the edge. Can I plumb my PVC hose into an intake vacuum fitting? It's for a boat btw.

Thanks :waytogo:

Sing it with me brother "1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2..." Chevy V8's are all the same, at least all the ones I've met. (However, I seem to recall that a few marine motors are reversed, so that you have a mirrored set for twin-motored boats, but I presume you'd know if you had one of those.)

I can never keep ported vacuum straight from manifold, so someone will post up and give you an answer there.

Aaron has the firing order correct. Yes, you can plumb the PCV (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) valve directly into any of the intake runners. :thumb:
