I just bought an unused '00 454 vortec bbc.
It came complete with intake (instead of the EFI), 8-quart oilpan, balancer and flywheel.
AFAIK, it is a Gen 6 BBC with the L29 hyraulic roller cam and a cast crank.
I plan to install it in front of a TH350, so I need a flexplate.
I searched through various catalogs, but have yet to find a flexplate specifically for the vortec bbc.
There seem to be different flexplates for Gen6 454/502s with forged steel cranks and cast cranks - can I use one of these (e.g. a TCI flexplate for a cast crank 454/502 Gen6 BBC) or do I have to use the original GM-Flexplate (considerably more $$$)?

    Thanks in advance

I dont see why a TCI wouldnt work. Just tell them what you have and they can hook you up w/ the correct wheel. I personally would go TCI, B&M or someone like that and get a SFI approved wheel. SFI approved wheels are stronger.
