Hey all,
Just got my 465 resealed and painted, and going to assemble the unit in the next few days. I tossed the old 700R4 and am swapping the the 465 with a hydraulic setup. I have everything ready to go, but I had a question or two about assembling the clutch on the engine (everything is out of the truck and sitting on benches as well, installing the whole engine/trans assembly as a unit, as the radiator core support is out right now). I have my flywheel and LUK clutch, but I was wondering if there is a particular reference point for installing the pressure plate onto the flywheel. My generic Haynes manual mentions that they have to be orientated correctly for balance purposes, but it does not look like the new pressure plate has any markings I can discern, and the flywheel is a resurfaced unit I purchased from another source. Am I in a bind? or will it be all right if I install which ever way?
Thanks in advance,
Martin
