Scenario: I'm wanting to upgrade my tranny from the 4L60 to the 4L80. I've already found out i can't just swap one for the other cause the output shafts are different.
So if i found a tranny and transfer wouldi be able to make it work?? I mean computer shifting it right or would i have to find the computer too??
Only reason i ask is i went playing in some water the other day and got some in my motor and tranny. Motors fine. Drained the tranny twice and changed filters and it seems to be ok for now but i know it probably won't survive long. Looking at get a head start on finding what i need to just yank and replace
So what do ya'll say?? Can it be done without a lot of work??
