Anyone heard of this or seen it around? I'm looking for the setup right now. Not really looking to buy one just wondering if there are reviews or anything anywhere. I remember seeing it a year or two ago when I had my 1995 with a 4l80E in it. As far as I know it was a valve body that just differently engaged the planetaries to get 2 more gears out of it(a guess really). I think Jet Performance made it, but its not on their site and I can't find it anywhere. ANyone?
 
just found a little bit of info, said something about engaging overdrive gear in other gears to create different final drive ratios. I would think it would produce a lot of heat and wear, probably why Jet doesn't seem to make them anymore.
 
eh, its alright, I know my TBI 350 truck was a dog with a 4l80E behind it. Haven't had a single issue with the one in my 97.
 
my 97 was rebuilt at around 70K miles, I've got about 98k on it now I think. What engine do you have in front of that 4l80e? I think it saps a bit much power from a 350, but with some mild upgrades I won't be scared to use my 97 for my tow rig.
 
96 c30 crew 2x4 and vortec 350. i think my tbi 88 with swaped 4l80-e setup had more power in it. but ow well. it will live again soon as this one.:D

my 95 with 350TBI SUCKED, I blame a good deal of that on the trans. I think it was just too much trans behind that poor little motor. The Vortec still gets and goes, and it has higher rear gears in it then my 95 did(3.73s in the 97, 4.10s in the 95).


No talking about the old trusty 4L80E. You are talking about the new factory 6 speed, badass. Kids in class were commenting about "what automatics actually have 6 gears? I mean, like Mercedes, maybe BMW, wtf us?" me- "uhh Chevy trucks :D "
