I got a 2004 5.3 I’m goin to mate to a sm465. I just reworked my harness and was wondering if I could get rid of all the automatic transmission wiring from the harness. I’m kind of new to the LS world.

yup you can remove everything trans related. You will need to do a segment swap from a manual trans truck.
What exactly is a segment swap??
Taking entire section/ segment of programming from one pcm and swapping it to another. Ie taking a manual trans pcm And swapping to an auto pcm
I think you might need a vehicle speed sensor. Dakota digital has a few different ones
